At Henderson High School, we proudly fly our New Zealand flag and Henderson High School flag every day. From today, to coincide with Matariki, the Board has agreed that the Māori flag will also fly alongside these other two flags every day to demonstrate our commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi.
Our kura is committed to genuine engagement with te ao Māori, ensuring tikanga and mātauranga Māori are embedded authentically across all aspects of our kura. Flying the Tino Rangatira flag shows our commitment to building community, whakawhānaungatanga, and acknowledges the mahi we are already doing. We truly reflect the kōrero “He ngākau mōhio ki te tū rangatira – A mind conscious of integrity”
