Year 12 History students visited the Auckland War Memorial Museum to participate in the ‘Witness to History’ programme. This programme focused on the Second World War and allowed students to interact with artifacts from the time, as well as to recognize the sacrifice of soldiers that fought in New Zealand’s modern wars. Our young historians were then able to explore other areas of the museum to absorb knowledge about our local history as well as some international events. This all went on to inspire and provide information for their first internal assessment.
