He ngākau mōhio ki te Tū Rangatira!
What a successful weekend! Ngā Taiohi o Panuku hits the Stage at Te Ahurea Tino Rangatiratanga!
An incredible day for Ngā Taiohi o Panuku! From the moment they stepped onto the stage, you could feel their ihi but also, their nerves. A group of 27 performers, ranging from enthusiastic Year 9s to seasoned Year 13s, Ngā Taiohi o Panuku brought a display of commitment, dedication, and sheer heart. Weeks of late nights, and tireless practices all wrapped up in a 17minute performance that left their whānau in awe. We are all proud!
While the results showed areas for improvement, one thing is certain: Ngā Taiohi o Panuku stay true to their kaupapa “tū rangatira – standing proud as Māori”. They did their absolute best, sharing their aroha for kapa haka, and making their whānau and our kura incredibly proud. This is what kapa haka is all about!
To every performer, every kaiako (teacher/tutors), every parent, and every supporter who played a part in Ngā Taiohi o Panuku’s journey to Te Ahurea Tino Rangatiratanga
E kore rawa te aroha e mimiti! Our love for you will never diminish!
Stay tuned for some exciting kaupapa coming up, and let’s continue to celebrate the talent and passion of our rangatahi!
