Junior students Shareen and Zain had the opportunity to meet with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon whilst attending the Pakistan Independence Day Celebration. New Zealand’s Pakistani community celebrate Pakistan Independence Day annually with events which include flag-hoisting ceremonies, cultural performances, video screenings and patriotic songs.
Cultural celebrations like this provide our students and their whānau with opportunities to display our school value of Kotahitanga – we are unique and united, and we celebrate our diverse community.
