What a Week! EPro8 Finals, Our School, and a Massive Win!
This week Henderson High School hosted the Auckland EPro8 semi-finals and finals! Over 1000 secondary school students compete in the EPro8 competition. It was a privilege to extend a warm welcome to schools from across Auckland, including St Kentigern’s, Rangitoto, ACG Parnell, Kelston Boys and many more.
All our EPro8 teams did an outstanding job. Five teams made it to the semi-finals, then the action continued with our senior team, Team 01 consisting of Blake, Caylee, Carter, and Liam, qualifying for the finals. Team 01 competed in a challenging and hard-fought final with a “Mission Impossible” theme. They were tasked with engineering some incredibly creative solutions, including radio transmitters, bomb disposal forklifts, and laser security systems.
A massive congratulations to our very own Team 01 for bringing home the win! We’re so proud of all Henderson High School’s teams for their hard work and ingenuity. Auckland Champions for the third year in a row is a fantastic accomplishment!
A huge mihi goes to Mr Fisher and Miss Zellner for their dedication to Henderson High School’s EPro8 Engineering Programme.
