The PPTA has confirmed they will proceed with additional strike action in an effort to progress fair negotiations on their collective agreement. This will involve the rostering home of different year levels throughout Term Two. There will also be rolling strikes nation-wide, the Auckland strike day will be on Thursday 11 May and school will be closed for all students.
On the days notified, students in that year level will not be taught or supervised by PPTA members. As almost all our teachers are PPTA members, we do not have the resources to cover their classes. Therefore, students from specific year levels should not attend school as indicated below:
Tuesday 9 May – Year 12
Thursday 11 May – All Year Levels
Tuesday 16 May – Year 9
Wednesday 17 May – Year 10
Thursday 25 May – Year 11
Tuesday 30 May – Year 13
Thursday 1 June – Year 12
Tuesday 6 June – Year 10
Thursday 8 June – Year 9
For clarity, on days notified above, teaching and supervision of other year levels not subject to the strike action will continue as normal.
