Senior Māori and Māori Performing Arts tauira (students) are exploring the history and sites of Te Arawa on their annual haerenga (journey). Their trip to Rotorua focuses on the iwi of Te Arawa with different aspects of the iwi incorporated as the main kaupapa of each year level’s research. Students are visiting the Buried Village of Te Wairoa, Te Puia Geothermal Park, and Whakarewarewa Village. This annual haerenga is always an enriching and enjoyable experience for our students and we wish them all the best on their travels.
