Every Tuesday morning Emma Simons takes part in the Henderson High School running club which is available to both staff and students. She says “It encourages students of any ability to participate in a social run. Everyone offers encouragement to one another and there is no pressure on how far you must run, no one will get left behind. This group of students really enjoy running together and it’s a great way to keep fitness up.”
Emma showed off her athletic talent in the Run Out West event last month. Beating her target of an hour, she completed the 10 kilometer track with a run time of 49:52, winning her age group and coming 5th overall.
