Our Year 12 Geographers relished the opportunity to swap the classroom for a trip to Rotorua to investigate how geothermal activity has changed the landscape! This experience included a scavenger hunt in Kuirau Park, walk and boat tours in Waimangu Volcanic Valley and a walk through Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Students explored spectacular landscape that has been sculpted over thousands of years by natural geothermal activity and finished their visit to the region with tourism fun at the gondola and luge.
Thanks to Mr van Gulik for organizing an amazing trip!
