Rongoā Māori

As part of the activities week for junior students, Year 9 and 10 students visited the Auckland Museum to learn about rongā Māori – Māori medicine. After learning about tikanga, tauira visited the Arataki Centre to harvest kawakawa which they used to make their own lip balm, hydration spray and oil.

Thanks to Whaea Rere for leading our students to build their mātauranga Māori around rongoā Māori as well as the teaching them the skills to make our own.
