“Kei te takahanga te pitomata – The treasures are in the journey”
Our kapa haka, Ngā Taiohi o Panuku, absolutely wowed the crowd at the Due Drop Events Centre yesterday! Led by Kaitātaki Luke (Niue, Kuki Airani) and Naiah (Te Rarawa), our 30-strong group delivered a performance filled with incredible ihi (power, feeling). From the waiata tira, mōteatea to the haka and whakawātea, there were definitely goosebumps in the audience.
A massive shout-out to the kapa for their stunning choreography and synchronisation and of course Whaea Rere, Whaea Liz, Whaea Aroha, Whaea Helen, Whaea Aaliyah, Matua Joachim, Whaea Peri, Katz, Ty, Kimi and Shay. You represented our kura with such mana!
