Motutapu Island

It was an early start for our Year 13 PE students as they caught the ferry to Rangitoto! Ākonga are currently working towards analysing safety management issues associated with outdoor activities, so completing an overnight camp at Home Bay on Motutapu Island was a great way to implement their safety management strategies. The dry weather during the expedition was ideal for our ākonga to complete all the activities required for their assessment.

It is always great to have our ākonga experience, learn and enjoy being in an outdoor environment, and even better when it is in the stunning Hauraki Gulf | Tikapa Moana!
