Enrolment and Zone
For 2026 enrolment please complete the steps below.
Information for 2027 enrolment will be available later in the year.
Out of Zone applications for 2026 enrolment have now closed and the ballot has been drawn. We recommend contacting your nearest In Zone school for enrolment opportunities.

Henderson High School participates in the Ministry of Education donations scheme and does not request student donations.
Enrolment Process

Step 1: Enrolment Application
Complete the online enrolment application

Step 2: Enrolment Interview
In Zone applicants for 2026 enrolment must attend an enrolment interview. Bookings are required for enrolment interviews. Appointments will be approximately 20 minutes long.
Out of Zone Enrolment Information
Out-of-Zone applicants are accepted in this order:
- First priority must be given to any applicant who is accepted for enrolment in a special programme run by the school. (Note that Henderson High School does not have a special programme).
- Second priority must be given to any applicant who is the sibling of a current student of the school.
- Third priority must be given to any student who is the sibling of a former student of the school.
- Fourth priority must be given to any applicant who is a child of a former student of the school.
- Fifth priority must be given to any applicant who is either a child of an employee of the board of the school or a child of a member of the board of the school.
Sixth priority must be given to all other applicants.

Te Hiringa - Academic Enrichment
The Te Hiringa Academic Enrichment Programme supports fast-paced, advanced learning to develop students’ thinking skills and extends their knowledge of their chosen courses of study. The programme facilitates research and information gathering using a variety of methods.
Students collaborate with schools and academic institutes outside of the classroom environment, in order to enrich the learning experience.
Assessment for admission into Te Hiringa takes place in the year prior to entry at Year 9. Please register your interest to join us at our Te Hiringa Experience and Testing Days.
Scholarships
We offer a range of financial scholarships to incoming Year 9 students who excel in their chosen field.
Scholarships for each field offer specific rewards to successful students.
