Junior students from our Writers Group had the exciting opportunity to visit Crescendo Studio for a hands-on podcasting experience. Over two afternoons, they learned how to plan, record, and produce their own podcasts, guided by industry mentors and supported by professional audio equipment.
This creative experience strengthened students’ skills in communication, collaboration, storytelling, and digital literacy, while building confidence in expressing their ideas, perspectives, and personal stories. The workshops reflected Crescendo’s kaupapa of “connecting rangatahi through sound to change lives” and aligned closely with our school’s focus on empowering student voice through authentic, real-world learning opportunities.
